Unlike generic backup products, CPA.com Data Backup Solutions is built specifically for the accounting profession. We automate the backup process entirely through our secure cloud-based service, which integrates seamlessly with Microsoft Windows.

Once a firm signs up, we perform an in-depth tech review of the practice’s systems and walk the customer through software installation, backup scheduling and the first full backup. For an additional fee–about $40 annually per computer–we can also perform quarterly assessments to determine if any tweaks are needed.

CPA.com Data Backup Solutions uses best practices for security and multilayer encryption. To minimize risk, we don’t use storage facilities abroad, and our software can be configured so subscribers can keep a copy of their backup data physically at hand, in addition to the cloud-based version. If a problem occurs, the local copy shortens any data restoration time.

Pricing is 45 cents per gigabyte a month for up to 100 GB of data. The price drops to 35 cents for 100 to 1000 GB and 25 cents for anything above that level. A typical small firm backs up less than 50 GB. To save money for subscribers, data is compressed before storage.

As a bonus, we provide two gigabytes of free backup storage for clients of enrolled firms.
